These four algorithms were recently selected by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for use throughout the United States. They will be standardized in a process that takes up to two years, and then migrated into existing systems for protecting both government and private industry data. The review and evaluation of the algorithms took NIST 6 years to complete.

Dr. Ron Martin Speaks at ASIS Ghana Security Conference
The American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) Chapter 278 is holding their annual Africa Security Conference from July 27th-29th in Accra, Ghana. Capitol Tech Professor of Practice Dr. Ron Martin is in attendance virtually to present two lectures, one on ASIS Chapter leadership, and one on Government and Private Security Partnerships (U.S. Critical Infrastructure). Dr. Martin’s lectures during the 2022 conference serve as follow-up presentations from security talks he gave in Nigeria in 2016 and 2017. The theme of the 2022 conference is “Private Security and its Role in Government and Business in Africa.”
