In an era dominated by unparalleled technological advancements, where smart cities and AI-driven infrastructures have become the norm, our most intimate and critical systems remain at risk: the human psyche.
This presentation embarks into the realm of cognitive security, an emergent discipline centered on defending the human mind against manipulation, misinformation, and sophisticated psychological tactics. The presenter is noted Canadian cyberpsychologist, Sumona Banerji. Banerji is an internationally recognized expert of cognitive security and cyber-resilience.
Drawing attention to our escalating technological debt, the presentation underscores the risks of neglecting cognitive dimensions in our defense strategies. The warfare of the future will not be merely waged with weapons of mass destruction but with tailored information designed to deceive, mislead, and disrupt societal structures.
This presentation is a clarion call, urging attendees to acknowledge and address the cyber-psychological battles being fought in the very synapses of our brains. Emphasizing the preservation of individual and collective perception in an increasingly digitized world, not a mere afterthought, but as an integral part of defense.
From a purely analytical standpoint, prioritizing cognitive security aligns with the broader goals of preserving societal trust, ensuring information integrity, and promoting mental and digital well-being.
The 60-minute webinar concludes with a moderated live question-and-answer period.
