Enterprise Security Risk Management (ESRM) is a methodology used in security studies to assess the overall risk challenging a country, its critical infrastructure, or even a corporation that broadly faces a spectrum of threats. The ESRM methodology operationalizes Risk as a function of Threats (by an attacker), Vulnerabilities (to be attacked), and Consequences (of being attacked). Once the overall risk is assessed and scored, this will enable security personnel to prioritize the allocation of protective resources to mitigate the risk in a cost-effective way.
This webinar presentation will apply the ESRM methodology to several case studies, such as risks presented by terrorism, pandemics, and cyberattacks.
