Dr. David Gianna
CCSP, CISSP
David Gianna is a veteran information security professional specializing in security of payments and is a subject matter expert in the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). He is the Operational Risk Control Officer at Wells Fargo Bank. Wells Fargo is the fourth-largest bank in the U.S, with more than 8,000 branches and 13,000 ATMs.
His I.T. work has included leadership positions at IBM, Verizon, and Protiviti. He has also taught courses at the University of Maryland and Yeshiva University, served on a cyber security advisory board at Rutgers University, and serves on an advisory board at Pace University. Gianna is a member of several professional organizations, including (ISC)2and ISACA. He has proctored the CISSP exam and has contributed to the CCSP exam. He also volunteers with the Civil Air Patrol (CAP), the civilian auxiliary of the United States Air Force, where he holds the rank of Captain and serves as a pilot, transporting aircraft and introducing flight to youth cadets. He earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, an M.S. in Computer Science and an MBA from Marist University, and a Ph.D. in Technology from Capitol Technology University.
