On the afternoon of October 9th, over a dozen Springbrook High School students participated in a virtual Cybersecurity Outreach session provided by Capitol Technology University students and staff at the October Brooks Codes Hackathon. Springbrook High School is in Silver Spring, Maryland, and Springbrook students learned about Kali Linux and other Cybersecurity tools, ethics, opportunities for study at Capitol, and careers. The 2-hour session ended with an online Capture The Flag (CTF) event that challenges the students’ cyber and computing knowledge & skills.
