Dear Campus Community,
As summer is nearing its end, our excitement is growing at Capitol Technology University. We look forward to officially welcoming our new and returning students!
This summer, Capitol Tech faculty and staff worked diligently to meet the requirements of delivering quality higher education during COVID-19 while retaining our institution’s unique style of hands-on, practical education. Undergraduate campus-based classes will meet online for the first week and the following week all undergraduate courses will resume being held on campus and in-person with new safety protocols.
Returning faculty and students may notice the many changes made to ensure the safety of our students, faculty, and staff including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits, sanitizing stations, directional prompts in the hallways, and increased use of technology to facilitate social distancing.
Click here to read Capitol Tech’s official Return to Campus document, which delves into the specific plans, policies, and practices in place for the upcoming semester.
Nonetheless, we do not want to offer an on-campus collegiate experience without the socialization, fun, and peer camaraderie that is essential to grow academically and as individuals. Capitol Tech’s Office of Student Life will offer events outside of the classroom including lawn games, Capitol Tech movie viewing parties, online events, and much more.
As a university focused on STEM education, Capitol Tech is well prepared to flourish in this difficult situation using technology and our future-focused vision. For any COVID-19 related questions, please email COVID@captechu.edu.
We look forward to seeing every one of our students–in person, online, or both–while we safely secure your future.
Sincerely,
Brad Sims, PhD
President
