Cyber security requires vigilance 365 days a year. However, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA), and the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC), the primary drivers of NCSAM, coordinate to shed a brighter light in October on what home users, schools, businesses and governments need to do in order to protect their computers, children, and data.
As a leader in cybersecurity education, the college will host and attend various events in support of cybersecurity awareness.

- Tuesday, October 5 - Capitol will host the Baltimore ISSA Chapter InfoSec Summit
- Friday, October 8 - Lockheed Martin will be on campus to present the college with a grant in support of the Cyber Battle Lab and Emerging STEM Leaders Education and Public Outreach Program
- Friday, October 8 and Friday, October 22 - Open House (including tours of the Cyber Battle Lab)
- Wednesday, October 27 - Ms. Debora Plunkett, NSA's director of the Information Assurance Directorate (IAD), will speak at the President's Forum
- Wednesday, October 27 - Fort Meade Alliance presents STEM Family Night
