National Security Scholars Program to Visit Capitol



Focusing on the needs of the intelligence and defense industry in Maryland, the Maryland Independent Colleges and Universities Associations (MICUA) I-Fund’s National Security Scholars Program (NSSP) allows students to gain first-hand industry experience by offering internships, scholarship money, and the opportunity to gain security clearance at no cost. The NSSP has selected many Capitol Technology University students for this highly competitive program in the past, and will once again visit campus to recruit candidates in September.

Students selected to participate in this rigorous program may receive the following benefits:

  • Scholarship award       
  • Paid summer internship in the Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area with an NSSP program Partner (government agency or defense industry)
  • Assistance with processing an application for a national security clearance
  • Unique opportunities to explore a future in the national security field and obtain employment leads with the I-Fund’s national security industry Partners.

The NSSP Representative will be on campus to discuss the program process and requirements on:

Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 4:00 pm, Room C266

Applications will be due to Career Services by COB on  October 11, 2021

In-person interviews will happen on November 11th and 12th.
