This week, U.S. News and World Report released its rankings of top online degree programs and Capitol College’s graduate engineering program was ranked No. 15 in the category “Student Engagement and Accreditation” and No. 43 in the category “Student Services and Technology.” Capitol’s graduate program outranked many large schools nationwide, and was one of just three Maryland schools to make the list.
When determining the rankings for “Student Engagement and Accreditation,” U.S. News and World Report took into account the weekly number of office hours for instructors, the expected response time from instructors, whether faculty members check student login, and the maximum class size.
The rankings for “Student Services and Technology” were based on the following factors: 24/7 live tech support, live tutoring, smartphone applications and live-streaming video.
“We are pleased to be recognized for our innovation in education technology and our leadership in providing services to our students, both hallmarks of a Capitol higher education,” Dr. Michael T. Wood, president, said.
