On our campus in Laurel, MD, Dr. Aiken met with members of Capitol Tech leadership and staff and attended a special luncheon to speak with students pursuing a degree in Cyberpsychology.
Today, she will be attending an online event hosted by Scythe, a leading Computer and Network Security company located in Columbia, MD. SCYTHE Founder & CEO Bryson Bort and Dr. Aiken will be discussing the utility of cyberpsychology in terms of “psychologically hacking back” and her recent publication, The Enterprise Strikes Back, which focuses on identifying and targeting the psychological vulnerabilities of cyberattackers through industry-led, active cyber defenses.
The event is scheduled for Monday, June 10 at 1:00 - 1:45 p.m. EST. Registration in advance is required.
Recently, Dr. Aiken also joined Dr. Sims, President of Capitol Technology University, for a LinkedIn Live discussion on cyberpsychology with a recent doctoral Forensic Cyberpsychology graduate, Dr. Marshall S. Rich. The discussion detailed the experiences of being a student in our cyberpsychology program, insights from the academic and professional perspective, and unique challenges and opportunities within this rapidly evolving field. It also highlighted the significance of this discipline in today's digital world and the innovative educational approaches of the programs offered at Capitol Tech.
The event recording is available on LinkedIn.
