Capitol Technology (Capitol Tech) University is pleased to announce an establishment of a new partnership with Infotrend, Inc. (Infotrend), hereby forming a strategic alliance to promote and provide opportunities for education and careers within various fields of IT.
On January 31, 2023, Infotrend key leadership visited Capitol Tech campus in Laurel, MD for an opportunity to meet Capitol Tech leadership in person and attend a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signing event. Dr. Bradford L. Sims, President of Capitol Tech and Gurpreet Singh, CEO of Infotrend signed this partnership into action, initiating this exciting collaboration. Both parties will work together to create educational pathways and opportunities for students pursuing IT careers.
Capitol Tech is a STEM-focused university that has developed unique undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degree programs in emerging technology fields to prepare students for successful careers in IT, computer science, cybersecurity, and many others. Capitol Tech is extending its reach through strategic partnerships like that with Infotrend.
Infotrend is a company dedicated to developing technology solutions for federal agencies that address the challenges associated with big data, custom application development, emerging technologies and training. They empower customers with efficient, cost-effective data and technology solutions that meet their specific needs.
Infotrend has generously established a scholarship fund of $2,500 that will be awarded in the 2023-2024 academic year to a Capitol Tech continuing undergraduate or incoming student in a computer science-related degree program who has maintained a 3.0 GPA or higher in their most recent academic setting. In addition, Infotrend has agreed to provide internship opportunities for Capitol Tech students, contribute to university communications through blog posts and webinars, and provide speakers for conference events as determined.
Capitol Tech will provide Infotrend members with a 20% discounted tuition rate for master’s and doctoral programs with the university, as well as the partner tuition rate of $360 per credit for the 2022-23 school year for undergraduate asynchronous online program enrollees. Capitol Tech will also provide facilities usage for Infotrend events and meetings (terms apply).
