Capitol Technology University Partners with Girls Action Network (GAN) to Advance Opportunities for Girls & Women in STEM, Supply Chain, and Skilled Trades

Bowie, MD – Girls Action Network (GAN), a nonprofit dedicated to empowering girls and young women, especially those from underrepresented communities, to thrive in the 3S Workforce™—STEM, Supply Chain, and Skilled Trades in the AI era and beyond—has announced a strategic partnership with Capitol Technology University, a premier institution offering bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in a wide variety of STEM fields including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, aviation and aeronautical sciences, and engineering.

This partnership leverages Capitol Technology University's cutting-edge programs and GAN’s innovative Gateway to 3S Workforce™ (GT3S) program and platform to create unparalleled opportunities for young women. Together, they aim to deliver impactful mentoring, hands-on learning, and career development resources designed to propel girls and young women into leadership roles across the 3S Workforce™. Members of Capitol Technology, including University President Dr. Sims and Assistant Director of the Center for Women in Cyber Brandy Turner met with GAN leadership in a MOU signing ceremony on Friday, November 8, 2024, putting into action this partnership.

The partnership will include co-branded educational programming, mentorship initiatives, and unique learning experiences designed to enhance student engagement. Capitol Technology University will also provide scholarships and support resources to program participants, opening more doors for students to pursue higher education in STEM and related fields.
