To honor the service of our nation’s first responders, Capitol Technology University has created a new scholarship to increase the access their children.
This scholarship, called the First Responders Undergraduate Scholarship Program, offers a $5,000 scholarship, awarded each academic year, to children of first responders or of courageous responders that have given their life in the line of duty.
To be eligible for the First Responders Undergraduate Scholarship Program applicants must be a senior in high school and a legal dependent between the ages of 18-26 years old of an active duty first responder or of a courageous responder who has given their life in the line of duty. Applicants should also complete the official Capitol Technology University admissions application, submit personal essay, high school transcripts, SAT or ACT scores, official documentation verifying their legal guardian’s employment as a first responder, and meet all university entrance requirements.
The funds provided by this scholarship may be used toward any full-time undergraduate degree program of study on campus at the university. The award is renewable up to a total of $20,000 over four years, contingent upon good academic standing.
