Capitol College president Dr. Michael T. Wood has recently authored the book titled “Telecommunications Pioneers: Innovation, Leadership and Education,” as part of the Capitol College Innovation and Leadership Institute’s (ILI) three-part book series.
The ILI was founded to respond to the regional and national need for developing students with technical leadership skills. Following that principle, “Telecommunications Pioneers: Innovation, Leadership and Education,” infers lessons of leadership and innovation from the telecommunications pioneers of past generations. The book is also designed to help those in higher education continue to foster the growth of tomorrow’s telecommunications pioneers.
“I wanted to provide examples and ideas that would help aspiring technologists and entrepreneurs to become innovators for society and leaders in their professions,” Wood said. “I also hoped to share some perspectives on how higher education might help people achieve those goals.”
