Last month, Capitol College board member Haden Land traveled to Paris where he presented at the 30th International Workshop on Global Security. Land’s talk was part of the “Cyber Security: Defining the Challenge” panel.
The three-day conference covered a variety of security topics including the current military operations in Mali, the "Arab Spring" developments including Syria, as well as a several sessions on the growing challenges of cyber security. Workshop speakers and participants from more than 30 countries attended the event. Attendees included defense ministers, chiefs of defense general staff, other senior officials including political and military representatives to NATO, the EU, the UN, and officials from defense, aerospace, information technology, cybersecurity and other industries.
A board member at Capitol College since 2012, Land is the Vice President of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer at Lockheed Martin’s Information Systems & Global Solutions (IS&GS)-Civil business. Land delivered his speech from the Grand Salon, former chamber of the counsel of King Louis XIV, located at the Hotel Des Invalides.
