Capitol Technology University will be celebrating our 2025 Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 3, on our campus in Laurel, MD. We are extremely proud of our graduates and their outstanding academic achievements that have brought them to this moment!

Schedule of Events
Doctoral Hooding Ceremony
Friday, May 2, 4:00 p.m.
Avrum Gudelsky Auditorium
Join us to honor the accomplishments of our doctoral graduates at this special ceremony. Doctoral graduates should arrive with their regalia no later than 3:00 p.m. to the Puente Library to check in. Guests should arrive by 3:45 p.m. Tune in starting at 3:45 p.m. on May 2 for the livestream. (Note: Guests are limited to 3 per graduate for this ceremony).
Graduate and Alumni Reception
Friday, May 2, 5:30–7:30 p.m.
McGowan Academic Center
To celebrate our soon-to-be and current alumni, we will be hosting our annual Graduate and Alumni Reception event the night before our 2025 Commencement Ceremony. We welcome you and your family to attend the reception! Join us for a lively evening of food, music, games, networking, and fun. (This event will begin shortly after the conclusion of our Doctoral Hooding Ceremony). RSVP in advance is encouraged.
Commencement Ceremony

Capitol Tech Campus Lawn, 11301 Springfield Road, Laurel, MD 20708
First-come, first-served seating for guests may be found under the graduation tent outside McGowan Academic Center. The event will also be livestreamed from the library and auditorium on the first floor of the MCI Building, and guests are welcome to watch the ceremony at those locations as well. Tune in live starting at 9:45 a.m. on May 3 for the livestream.
Parking is available on-site in designated areas. Please follow signs and park in the designated areas on our Campus Parking Map.

Graduate Celebration Day (Online)
Tuesday, May 13
Join Capitol Tech’s first-ever online Graduate Celebration Day on social media as we recognize our graduates by posting your unforgettable moments and graduation photos.
Submit your graduation photos by May 9 to be included and visit us on social media on the day to cheer on your fellow graduates, colleagues, and friends.
