Dr. Marshall S. Rich serves as a Dissertation Chair with Capitol Technology University for the Cyberpsychology doctoral programs. Dr. Rich is a distinguished cybersecurity expert with over 30 years of experience in cyber defense, incident response, and risk management. He is the first Ph.D. in Forensic Cyberpsychology in the United States and has pioneered innovative approaches to integrating behavioral science and forensic methodologies in cybersecurity. He also holds a Doctorate in Business Administration in Information Systems/Security. Dr. Rich's extensive expertise in predictive analytics, cyber and adversary behavioral analysis, cyber deception strategies and advanced threat intelligence techniques is widely recognized. His contributions to forensic cyberpsychology and cybersecurity have earned him not only recognition, but also the status of a trusted thought leader and researcher.  

Dr. Rich is a retired Army Signal Officer and Information Operations Officer with 23 years of service in the Georgia Army National Guard and a military career that includes multiple combat and peacekeeping deployments, where he provided critical communications and cybersecurity support. His influence extends beyond his academic and professional roles, as he is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. 

Dr. Rich’s current role as a Senior Expert in Cybersecurity at the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) sees him leading strategic initiatives to counter cyber threats and enhance organizational resilience.
