Khaleda Akter is an accomplished academic with extensive teaching and industry experience. She is currently an adjunct professor at Capitol Technology University. Prior to this position, she was a visiting instructor at Georgia Southern University and also taught at the University of South Carolina.

Ms. Akter has a diverse teaching portfolio, which includes courses such as Statics, Dynamics, Kinematics and Dynamics of Machinery, Introduction to Material Science, and Computing in Engineering. She holds an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Carolina, and both an M.S. and B.S. in Physics from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

With over six years of academic experience and more than ten years in the industry, her research interests are focused on wave propagation in corrugated structures and nondestructive evaluations. She has contributed to leading engineering journals and various conferences with her research.
