John McCloskey is a seasoned electrical engineer with a specialization in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University in 1988. John's early career was marked by his work as a digital and analog designer before he found his niche in EMC engineering.

Since 2012, John has served as the Chief EMC Engineer at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, where he has contributed to numerous spaceflight projects, including the high-profile James Webb Space Telescope, which launched on Christmas Day 2021. His expertise in EMC has made him an invaluable asset in ensuring the success of these missions.

John is an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) EMC Society, where he has played a significant role in their annual EMC Symposium. He has chaired the Fundamentals of EMC workshop and delivered numerous talks and demonstrations on various EMC topics.

In addition to his professional work, John is dedicated to education and training. He has taught numerous EMC training classes and has created a public YouTube playlist titled "Fundamentals of Electromagnetics (with John McCloskey)," where he shares his knowledge through a series of lessons.
