Dr. Edward Marchewka

Dissertation Chair | Adjunct Professor
Dr. Edward Marchewka is a Dissertation Chair and Adjunct Professor with Capitol Technology University, specializing in business analytics, cybersecurity, healthcare technology, and cyberpsychology, and management. Dr. Marchewka is a seasoned executive that has come up through the ranks in the IT vertical, expanding into information security, quality management, and strategic planning. He has held several roles leading in business, most recently with PryorHealth as the CAO.
Before joining PryorHealth, Dr. Marchewka worked with Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue Donor Network, leading the Information and Technology Services department as the Director of IT, Data, and Security Services (CIO). In this role, he provided leadership for Information & Technology Services, Compliance, Data & Reporting. He also served as the HIPAA Security Officer in this role. Previously, Dr. Marchewka was the Enterprise Information Security and Server Operations Manager (CISO) for Chicago Public Schools, the third largest school district in the country. In this role, he managed the Information Security group, Server Team (Windows/Linux/Storage), and IAM Team. His IT background includes running his own computer support business, field services, Fortune 250 experience with Thermo Fisher Scientific, and more. His career started in the US Navy as a Electrician's Mate - Nuclear.
His goals as a business leader are to understand, listen, and deliver results through operations, processes, and information via technology, helping position companies to achieve better business success.
In the academic space, Dr. Marchewka also teaches with Grand Canyon University, Franklin University, and American Public University System. He has taught with Excelsior College, Colorado Technical University, and Elgin Community College.
