Safety and Security
Emergency Notifications
Capitol Technology University has implemented a notification system designed to alert students, faculty and staff of emergencies via text messaging, voice messaging and email. The system is intended as a safety measure in the case of ongoing and severe emergencies; messages will include information and recommended courses of action. Signing up for the system is quick and easy; click through to the registration website and enter your registration code in the space provided, then click submit. Registration codes are available in MyCapitol and are emailed once per semester.
Thank you for participating.
Notifications will come through the following outlets as soon as a decision is made:
- Capitol's Alert System – Cap Tech U Safe (see below to get the app)
- Capitol's website and Facebook page
- Email from Dean of Students and/or Res Life Staff
- Student Discord
Note: Please remember to allow notifications and pings from the app in order to receive information in real time.
Always use your best judgment if you decide to travel during winter weather; safety comes first.
