Welcome to Capitol Tech for the new academic year! The Office of Career Services is here to assist you prepare for an ever-changing workforce through individualized career planning. We can provide you with the necessary resources and guidance to manage your career, whether you are deciding upon a major or have defined a career interest. Through this career planning process we will help you to explore new paths, change destinations, and map your vision for the future.

Career Services assists job seekers in evaluating opportunities to determine if their knowledge, skills, and interests match the positions available. We encourage you to use the virtual career resources and job search tools which are available 24 hours a day. In the Virtual Career Center & Job Board Symplicity you can schedule an appointment with our staff, have your resume reviewed, search for job openings, connect with employers, register for events, and many other search-related activities. Additionally, the MyCapitol Career Services Portal is a resource center full of information and sources covering the job search process, job boards, and added job postings.
Career Services also offers campus events including bi-annual career conferences and job fairs designed to build employer relationships. These events are free and available to both students and alumni.
Speaking of alumni, graduating students can expedite their job search by creating a game plan for success and taking advantage of the Career Service resources to ensure your resume will stand.
All appointments will be held by phone or on zoom and can be made through the Virtual Career Center & Job Board Symplicity. An account has already been created for you. Accessing your account is easy, just click the above link and then on the button for "Student/Alumni". If you are a new student or have not recently accessed your account you will need to click on "Forgot Password". Your user name is the beginning of your CapTechU email address (i.e. jdoe@captechu.edu would be jdoe).
