Make a difference with a holiday gift to Capitol Tech!
December 19, 2018The holiday season’s in full swing – and Capitol Tech is calling on alumni and other members of the university community to show their support with an end-of-year gift that will go towards new resources and opportunities for students.
“Especially at a small, close-knit university like Capitol Tech, the active support of alumni, friends, and donors is crucial to helping us sustain our programs, labs, and resources,” says Melinda Bunnell-Rhyne, vice president for student engagement and university development.
“A donation can help fund student projects, like the TrapSat mission or Project Hermes,” Bunnell-Rhyne notes. “It can go towards providing our cyber team with upgraded software, or purchasing new equipment for our labs. It can mean more resources for student clubs and groups. With even a modest donation, you can really make an impact.”
Founded in 1927, Capitol Tech has maintained a focus on practical education driven by emerging technologies and industry needs. In 2018, the university launched new programs in cyber and business analytics. Starting in 2019, it is adding several additional undergraduate and graduate programs, including degrees in construction management and critical infrastructure, mechatronics, and unmanned and autonomous systems.
To contribute, simply visit our donation page, or contact the university’s advancement office for more information on ways to support Capitol students.
“We tend to reflect at the end of the year on the important things in our lives and the people who have made a difference,” Bunnell-Rhyne said. “If Capitol Tech has had significant impact on your life, we hope you’ll consider giving back and helping to create opportunities for a new generation of students.”
