Capitol Tech’s Degrees Support The Fastest-Growing Jobs for Women in America

According to a recent smartasset article by Stephanie Horan titled, The Fastest-Growing Jobs for Women in America – 2019 Edition, Capitol Technology University provides degrees in many areas on the top 25 list.

Since its start more than 90 years ago in 1927, Capitol Technology University has remained true to its mission – preparing students for careers in a quickly changing world. Ranking at number 3 includes the health and safety areas, which show an 82% increase in women employed in this area between 2014 and 2018.  Capitol Tech currently offers an online Doctorate in Occupation Health & Safety and in 2020 is starting both a new online Bachelor of Science in Construction Safety degree and an online Masters of Science in Construction Safety degree.  The Health and Safety industry provides many great career paths across many industries and now is the time to see if this is a career fit for you.

Ranking at number 9 is the position of construction manager, which show a 49% increase in women employed in this area between 2014 and 2018.  Capitol Tech currently offers a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and Critical Infrastructure providing an education for those who wish to move into the construction industry managing the construction of projects from commercial facilities, industrial facilities, housing, highways, stadiums, hospitals, and much more.

Ranking at number 13 are computer systems analysts, which show a 40% increase in women employed in this area between 2014 and 2018.  Capitol Tech currently offers a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and an online Master of Computer Science degree to prepare students on campus or online in this high demand area.

Ranking at number 17 are mechanical engineers, which show a 36% increase in women employed in this area between 2014 and 2018.  Capitol Tech currently offers closely aligned degrees such as a Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering Technology, and an online Master of Science in Engineering Technology.

Ranking at number 19 are database engineers, which show a 35% increase in women employed in this area between 2014 and 2018.  Capitol Tech currently offers a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and a choice of an online MBA with many technical specializations or an online Technical MBA in Business Analytics and Data Science.

Ranking at number 21 are software developers, which show a 33% increase in women employed in this area between 2014 and 2018.  Capitol Tech currently offers a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering on its campus located in Laurel, Maryland.
