Dianne M. O'Neill
Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing/Chief Enrollment Officer
Dianne M. O'Neill is responsible for undergraduate and graduate recruiting and admissions; marketing and communications; financial aid; student life and retention programs; career services; and registration and records. As vice president, O'Neill developed the first, comprehensive strategic enrollment management plan for the university. Under her leadership, Capitol has secured three NSF grants for recruitment and retention of high ability/high need students in the STEM fields. In addition, O'Neill has implemented several technological advances to help improve services to undergraduate and graduate students, including the launch of a website portal and wireless networking.
A Maryland native, O'Neill received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in systems management from Capitol Technology University. Prior to her 2002 appointment as vice president, O'Neill served as Capitol’s director of registration and records. Previously, she was director of financial aid at the University of Maryland University College and a higher education consultant.
