You will get a job after graduating from Capitol Technology University – we guarantee it. The Capitol Commitment is our promise to any qualified bachelor’s degree graduate–if you don’t find a job in your field within 90 days of commencement, the University will provide up to 36 additional undergraduate credits — tuition free — while you continue your job search.

Our second promise, the Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP), ensures that first time freshman graduates who don’t earn at least a $50,000 salary within 18 months of graduating will receive additional credits to expand their education.

What is LRAP? The LRAP provides a financial safety net that allows students to focus on their academics while in school, and if the student’s income after graduation is modest, assists the graduate to repay their loans. Alternative Educational Loans and parent PLUS loans are also covered by this program based on the graduate’s income.

Here is how LRAP works: Students must attend and graduate from Capitol Tech. After graduation they must work at least three-quarter time (30 hours per week) to receive assistance. If the graduate’s income is below $50,000 per year, the graduate (and their parents) can receive loan repayment assistance in the form of quarterly reimbursements on their student loans.

LRAP is free to you. Capitol offers this program along with its Capitol Commitment because Capitol is confident you will succeed upon graduating and will earn at least $50,000 within 18 months.  For more information and to apply, contact your admissions counselor at admissions@captechu.edu

We believe students who carried an additional course load in high school should earn credit for their efforts. Here is how to determine if you qualify for credit:

Project Lead the Way (PLTW)
Any PLTW course with a grade of C or higher will transfer. The number of transfer credits for each course depends on its content and length of its delivery (e.g. contact hours).
Advanced Placement Tests
Students who score a 3 or higher on an Advanced Placement test will receive credit. Contact your high school counselor for more information.
International Baccalaureate Courses
Capitol awards credit for selected IB courses. Students who score 5 or higher on select IB courses will receive credit. See Capitol admissions representative for specifics.
