Capitol Named "Military Friendly" for Fifth Straight Year

This month, Capitol College was named a Military Friendly School® by Victory Media in their 2014 Military Friendly Schools List®. The annual list places Capitol College in the top 20 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members, veterans, and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus. This was the fifth consecutive year Capitol College was named to the list.

“Capitol College proudly continues our support and commitment to those who have served our nation,” Dr. Vic Maconachy, vice president for academic affairs, said. “It is our small way of saying, ‘You are welcome here, and thank you for your service.’”

Capitol is dedicated to providing active-duty military and veterans with an affordable, accessible, and innovative career-focused education, and a high level of student service. For instance, the college participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, which is part of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008.
